Office consultations at the Fibroid Treatment Center include discussions about a woman's symptoms, reviewing any ultrasounds, CT scans, or MRIs which have already been done, and discussing all minimally invasive treatment options for each woman.

Since we are not a woman's Primary Care Physician or her primary Gynecologist, a complete physical including a pelvic exam is NOT required. Women are encouraged to bring their significant other since there is no exam performed and no changing is required.

Most women who seek care at the Fibroid Treatment Center find the process very easy, stress-free, and confidential. Within our office, you will have your consultation, get your MRI (if needed), and have your procedure. Most other offices require visits to 3-4 different locations to finalize each step. We feel that offering comprehensive treatment within our center allows us to provide each woman with the highest quality outcomes.

About The Fibroid Treatment Center

Dr. Todd S. Harris is a board-certified surgeon and the Medical Director of the Fibroid Treamtent Center in Newport Beach. Specializing in high-volume uterine fibroid embolization procedures for women as well as general and hernia surgery, Dr. Harris is recognized as a premier expert in minimally invasive, non-surgical and minimimally invasive treatment techniques.

Dr. Harris was born and raised in South Carolina and is a graduate of Clemson University and The Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his general surgery training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. After completing his surgical residency, Dr. Harris returned for a Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) fellowship at the University of Minnesota. After completing his fellowship in 2008, he relocated to Orange County to develop his fibroid practice.

Recognized by his peers for his dedication to surgical quality, Dr. Harris has been named an OCMA Physician of Excellence for 11 consecutive years (2015–2026) and is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He is active in medical research on reducing opioid consumption reflecting his commitment to data-driven outcomes and superior patient safety. He has also been named a Southern California Super Doctor for the past 10 consecutive years (2017-2026). Because of his experience, he serves as a trainer for surgeons across the country who are interested in furthering their education and has spoken at hernia conferences as a national leading expert.

Outside of work, Dr. Harris enjoys a variety of recreational activities. He is an avid runner and swimmer. He has competed in several triathlons, including races throughout the last 10 years. He balances cardiovascular activities with core and strength training. His interest in fitness allows him to appreciate getting women back to what they enjoy as quickly and pain-free as possible.

The Fibroid Treatment Center occupies 11,000 sqft in Newport Beach, CA. The center consists of clinical space for fibroid consultations and an accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) where our procedures are performed.

Our fibroid center is one of the newest and most advanced in the country. By combining our office space and surgery space into one center, we can assure continuity of care and the highest quality for all of our patients.
